Hello, and welcome to a site that encourages an application-based knowledge of the Bible. I believe that the Bible is the Living Word of God. Therefore, it makes sense to me that the Bible is the main resource for showing us how to live. I’ve found that every situation faced in my life is covered in the Word of God. There is nothing new under the sun.
MY VISION

ABOUT CHUCK LATHAM
Elder Chuck Latham is an Assistant Pastor with over 20 years as a Bible study teacher and serving in myriad other ministry roles. He has also served as a volunteer Chaplain at a Federal Prison for almost 20 years. Chuck is a retired Air Force Officer, a former college professor, and business consultant. He loves teaching people how to use the Word to draw closer in a relationship with God and make Spirit-led decisions.
My Approach
Taking the Word verse by verse as often as I can and provide insights into what these stories and passages mean to us today. It is a “step by step” approach as I place the reader into each story.
I will often draw from other resources, like my favorite commentaries and teachers along with my own experiences and examples. But the primary resource is the Holy Spirit and the anointing He has provided me with in understanding the scriptures.
Through this approach, I eventually want to provide my commentary on every book of the Bible….so this is a work in progress.

LOOKING AT THE NEW TESTAMENT BEATITUDES THROUGH THE OLD TESTAMENT FEASTS
"Step-by-Step" takes a different look at Jesus' teachings from what is commonly referred to as the "Beatitudes." I had long read about the "Beatitudes", but never had clear knowledge on how to apply them. However, the Lord revealed to me that the seven Beatitudes (Matthew 5) and the seven Feasts of the Lord (Leviticus 23) are strategically linked together. "Step-by-Step" outlines the seven-step process taught by Jesus for employing this method. The true meaning behind the Beatitudes and how to correctly apply them is revealed leading you to a closer relationship with God.
